Ooh I like your knife! I didn't even notice it before because I was looking at the dog! Cheesy

Thanks! I am big time into Japanese cooking knives. I wrote A magazine article last month on collecting Japanese cooking knives.

wow--I am so glad I hung on to my family's Japanese knives and scissors!  I saw your post and recognized two of them immediately!  What magazine was your article in?  I would love to read about it! I was not able to get to your blog--is the link broken?

BTW--the hot dogs look fun and would probably make a non-cook like me look like a genius!

The hot dogs are a lot of fun, no fancy knife needed.

The link to my blog in my signature bellow seems to work for me, but the direct link is www.dfw.com/theweekendchef

The knife article was in June issue of Indulge magazine (a DFW area mag).

This link will take you to the digital edition digital.indulgedfw. com/Olive/ODE/Indulge/. You will need to hit the "back issue" button and select the June 12 issue (Hunky man on the cover). The article is on pages 26-30.

Great! It is a lot of fun... I am going to try it on something a little bigger next. Maybe polish sausage dogs?

I didn't even got to try to make them because my DH jumped on the idea and disappeared with the sausages. I tasted them and they're delicious.
