This week I have been getting stuffy ready to compete in the county fair.  This necklace is really beautiful, dragons blood is amazing stuff.  I appreciate any comments.  Thanks.

I'm not familiar with dragons blood stone, but I like what I'm seeing here.  The copper really looks good with it.  I like the way you've wrapped the donut with it, not too much, not too little.

Very nice!   I've never heard about dragon's blood either.  Can you share your other pieces?

Thank you for the compliments.  I had never heard of Dragons blood stone either.  The stones and copper were purchased through Fire Mountain Gems and I think they just made up the name.  Anyway it does have a really pretty dark red in the stone, pictures do not do it justice.  Definitely going to buy more of this stone it is prettier than any of the other blood stones I have purchased.

Funny thing. As I clicked on your post I was sitting here wrapping a donut of dark green jasper with copper wire. Hmmm, that looks familiar. I looked it up and there is a type of Jasper called Dragon's blood - veins of dark green and red found together. That might be it don't you think?

That is very funny, it is a type of jasper.  I look forward to seeing your project.

Well, here it is folks:

It's just weird that I had the piece in my hand when yours came up on the screen!

I love your necklace, and it looks a lot lighter then mine.  All those stones and copper beads really weight it down.  Mine is now at the county fair, do you ever enter your county Fair's jewelry competition?
