So lately I have gotten really interested in Regency era Short Stays, but I am having trouble finding a pattern in one of the mainstream brands, so I decided that I might as well try my hand at drafting a pattern. I have done some pattern drafting in the past but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

By the way, I am planning on making these as historically correct as possible (I will be hand sewing them if at all possible). So I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on drafting this pattern or techniques that I will need to know!

Thank you so much

I made a set/pair? of Regency short stays awhile ago.  I did a ton of research to see the construction, and made a few attempts, never quite getting ones which fit exactly as I wanted.

Here's a good forum for information about short stays:  http://forums.sensibility.com/

Here's a pattern some people like:  http://sensibility.com/blog/patterns/regency-underthings-pattern/

Transitional stays might give some ideas:  http://www.koshka-the-cat.com/1790s_stays.html

Here's mine:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=387756.0

Thank you, I actually saw your post of your short stays here while i was doing research before I asked. even though they are not a historically accurate color, i really think that they are beautiful!
