Ok... I caved in and joined. Wink Now to pick who to claim. I think I'll do some practice crafting to see if what I want to make is possible first...

I received the most AWESOME package from bedreddick!

First a very pretty package wrapped in an old pattern instruction sheet & embellished with vintage lace & a doily

Inside were 2 beautiful linen drawstring bags, trimmed with lace and lined in a very pretty beige floral.

But wait, there's more.... Inside the bags were some supplies by the wonderful Tim Holtz

Thanks becreddick for a wonderful package!!!

Ooo sorry they got a bit crinkled, I should have thought of that when packaging them up!

Thanks for giving me the oppourtunity to make something other than kids clothes! I really enjoyed making them!

Wow~ Here I've been thinking "what a strange swap, only lists, no discussion..." and then I re-read the swap intro and found this board...  Oops! Smiley  Now I feel a little better!

Hi everyone Smiley  I love the packages that have been sent/received so far!  The linen/lace bags are especially beautiful.
To echo what others have said, it's neat to see such variety all in one place.  Back on page one fishstix (my claim-ee) was saying she sticks to what she knows...  I'm doing the opposite, I hope you don't mind!  I looked at this as an opportunity to try out something new to me (decorating glass) and to practice something that I've only done once before (printing on a t-shirt).

That being said, I picked up all of my supplies yesterday and am planning a day full of craftiness...  I'll let you know how it goes Smiley

Oh indeed, right on bags. If I didn't have self control I would totally add them to my Pinterest to add them to the giant mound of bags I already have that I don't use. Self... control...

And yeah, supplies! But who is Tim Holtz? I think I saw him on an episode of HIMYM (playing himself as Barney's tailor) but other than that I have no idea.

Tim Holtz is a designer who has a line of crafty scrap booking things out (you can find them at Michael's and probably Joann's). Lots of cool bits and bobs that are usually steam-punkish in design. Well...at least that's all I've seen of his work anyway Tongue

BTW... I MAY have to join this swap next month! I have a pinterest bursting with things that NEED to be made  Grin

So far crafting is going well. I have all supplies lined up and everything looks okay despite a bit of improvisation.

It's the luck of the draw, isn't it? Smiley Or perhaps too many options for claiming and not enough time...
