Independence Hat

Last night, i was giving Craftster a good going-over for the first time in a while and saw this month's challenge. Also last night, i decided i wanted to make something to wear to the fireworks show tonight.

Why not an earflap hat? Once the sun goes down, it gets preeeetty cold here. And the weather today could not have been more perfect for crafting outside.

So, here's my first challenge entry, and my first adult-sized crocheted earflap hat for Independence Day.

Adding some red to the white and blue:

so cute! the stripes are great. the star reminds me of something from the Little Mermaid...it's like a starfish sitting on the side of your head!
