I made this for my grandparents because they just baught a cabin in North Carolina and my grandmother loves wolves . I was trying to go for a natural maybe native american-ish look to it so i didnt smoot it out very much because i wanted it to keep that natural look. The tecnique i used was scafito which is where you paint on a layer of glaze and then scratch your image into the clay. On both sides there is a fully scrached out wolf which is ment to be that natural living wolves and they are howling to there spirit ancestors which are on the top and kept them the same blue color as the glaze to show they are spirtits. I also have to moon on either side and stars which the spirits are touching.
