I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

Happy birth-month, July babies!

I hope someone's wishlist includes nice yarn--a LYS here that specializes in high-end stuff is having a big 50%-off sale this week (doesn't include Noro).  Shocked  The owner's a friend and is going through hard times, so I'd like an excuse to make some purchases from her! ("My personal stash-enhancement" is not a reasonable excuse for me; I need to buy for others. Cheesy)

Since my birthday is today I was thinking of joining this swap but, I have a question about the wish list.  I don't have specific things I want just general likes and dislikes and would love anything in that genre.  Would it be OK to make a list like that or does it have to be specific items?

When you have a list of specific items, it does making crafting for someone a bit easier in this swap. However, if you have a full Wist or Pinterest, you could get around this by sharing those links. Smiley

Happy birthday, chughes!

I like it when wishlists have both a) the kinds of crafts someone would like, and b) general themes or interests that could be interpreted through any kind of crafting--since I never know what's going to inspire me. I am useless for most of the popular movie-, gaming-, and tv-themes, but a lot of people can take these themes and run with them if they don't have to make something specific (whereas other people prefer more specifics). And regardless of what we individually make, pretty much any of us could comply with a broad request like, "Something with the letter D on it", so this kind of generality that doesn't require specialized knowledge can be good too, provided it's something you actually want.  Smiley
