Beardie Hammock

I wanted to give my bearded dragon, Norbert, another place to hang out, so I made him a hammock! I used old batman sheets and some suction cups with hooks to make it. (Like the reptile hammocks at the pet store but cheaper.)

He's still getting used to the idea of sitting in a hammock, but he has crawled up there a few times. He enjoys sitting underneath it too. Hopefully once he gets comfortable with it he'll find it a nice place for a nap. Now I just need to make another our other dragon, Yoshi.

what a magnificent lizard! I did not know that lizards would hang out on a hammock. I honestly didn't think they were that flexible and coordinated. Boy am I wrong! Very cool...he's most awesome. Thanks for posting!

I love this! I thought about making one after I had to return a storebought one due to his nails constantly getting caught in the mesh. Does that seem to be a problem with yours? It looks great!!

He hasn't had problems getting his nails stuck, but once in awhile he will get his nails on the suction cups and knock himself down. Fortunately it's not too high up so he doesn't get hurt. Now that he's had it awhile he absolutely loves it, sits there all the time.
