Had two very boring thrift store purses that really needed a makeover.

recently found amazing pyramid stud-like trim at Joann's Fabrics.

add a bit of E-6000, and now I have two very modern-looking purses.

The white purse has a layer of black lace over the front pocket which hides a spot on the leather where there used to be hardware. I simply outlined the edge of the pocket using a small amount of of E-6000 and layed the lace down over it, pressing into the glue. The lace at the edge along the top (opening of the pocket) was folder over and glued down on inside. Once the lace was glued down and dried I just trimmed the excess along the edge as close and as cleanly as I could. There's also a tassel (barely visible) made of black chainette fringe and a brass bead-cap on the end of the zipper's chain.

Must have this trim in my stash!! Smiley What a brilliant idea with the lace to hide a flaw. Thanks for sharing this!
