I've been wanting to try out jewelry making for quite some time now and I absolutely adore found object jewelry. Not only is it quirky and unique, I'm constantly hoarding away little trinkets that I find.

So here is my first attempt. The broken key had been on my keyring for years because I loved the weathered effect and it was the key to my first shop so it had a nice memory.

I love the way you incorporated your weathered key  into this lovely network of found things.  The keyboard key goes with it, the ring pull tab is a kind of key as it lets you into the can - and it looks as if Cupid is holding a key too. Altogether a beautiful piece and so nice that it holds memories too.

elderflower, I only just noticed your post. Well spotted. I didn't notice the KEY element when I made this but it's now strikingly clear. I wonder if I did that subconsciously.....

The subconscious is an amazing thing - but the whole piece works well together anyway.
