hi all! i made this hoop for a non-craftster swap done between an online friend and myself. we both love john green's novel the fault in our stars, and this is one of the most-crafted quotes from it. i figured, why mess with perfection? so i stitched her a hoop that says "MY THOUGHTS ARE STARS I CAN'T FATHOM INTO CONSTELLATIONS".

so, without further ado...

in progress shots:

this is the first swap of any kind i've done, and it was very casual. naturally, i had a couple of issues. the patches were sewn on in an effort to conceal some seriously botched stitching, and i forgot to wash out the marker before i put on the backing. :\ le sigh. i tried to oxiclean it out, and that only made it worse... fortunately, the tie-dye camouflages most of the spots because it's so busy. i shipped it the other day, i hope she likes it!

as always, comments and criticisms are heartily encouraged! i'm new at hoopla and love criticism. Smiley thanks for looking!
