Sharpie dishes (draw with Sharpie, bake at 350F for 10 minutes, it's permanent... says Pinterest!)

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I read on a site that tests pinterest ideas that this works, but do not put those items in the dishwasher, it will come right off. Hand wash only and you might want to do a test piece just in case.

Thank you! I've been wondering if they would actually be dishwasher-safe. I did remember though, that my mom was proud of having all their dishes fit PERFECTLY into their limited cabinet space, so I probably can't do dishes anyway. I might stick with the cutting board and some engraved-handle wooden spoons or something. Hmm...

I actually did a few of these myself and even with handwashing, they rubbed off in my hands. Baked perfectly and everything, a few days later and I could smudge them. :/

so Christmas crafting will be put on hold for at least two weeks. Gotta pump out two costumes before I forget! I'm making my husband a Superman costume. It's pretty unheard of that I even craft for him - he's just not that kind of guy. And I'm making my oldest daughter (5y/o) a Jane costume from Tarzan. Not easy Jungle Jane. City Dress Jane. 10 yards of fabric Jane. Am I crazy? Probably, but she is just so excited when she sees me working on it that it just tugs your little heart strings.  So that is my agenda for a little bit.

Christmas crafting has been on hold for quite some time here. I'm really hoping to get down to some soon.

Getting to my crafting has been hard too. I am promising myself that I will get myself in gear starting next week. Just have a few little projects to get out of the way first. Then I will be in complete Holiday Mode!!!!!

If somebody offers you a lifetime supply of candy and there is only one piece; dont eat it, its probably poisoned.

I like to name my ipod "titanic" so when it says "syncing titanic" i click cancel, and it makes me feel like a hero:)

I wish my family or friends would do this. I think it's lots of fun. Right now, my family will have the kids draw the names of the other kids. It helps with our every growing family while still allowing everyone to buy for the kids. I want to do a white elephant gift exchange party this year.

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

It's basically a book made of ziploc bags with a fabric cover that rolls up. You fill it with things you might need in any sort of emergency, hence the "in a pickle" idea...bandaids, spot remover, safety pins, pen, wipes, chocolate..you can tailor it to the recipient. I plan to spend about $40 at the Dollar Tree and Walmart and make ten of them.
