Trekky that is a really pretty shawl! Why is it called drops? Do you drop stitches on purpose?

Thanks! I'm really hoping she likes it!

Cheesy The secret is... Drops is type of yarn from Scandinavia.  You can occasionally get their stuff here in the UK, their sock yarn is lovely and washes really well.  Note sure if it is available in the states though?

@ twisted5whispers... I love the Hitchhiker! And I love your color choice Smiley

@ Trekky... That's going to be such a pretty shawl! And cute marker Smiley)

Here's my current project.... I'm still working on my blanket, I'm in no hurry to finish it, so it's set aside right now. So I'm working on a sweater. I'm currently working on the second sleeve.

trekky--thanks so much for the pattern link--I started the drops scarf last night to check gauge and the wonderful yarn I purchased last month is going to work!  I will post a WIP pic probably next Wednesday when I have a bit more done!

and WOW--that is going to be a beautiful sweater!

mandyandbingley - wow the jumper looks amazing!  What yarn are you using?

alwaysinmyroom - glad to be of help! Once you have done a couple of rows, it is really easy - perfect knitting whilst watching the Olympics!  I didn't do the crochet border on the scarf I made myself, and I probably won't do it on the one for my nan either - but that's probably because I am RUBBISH at following crochet patterns! Will be great to see how you are getting on  Smiley

Thanks Smiley
I'm using Madelinetosh DK in Manor. It feels like it's going to be so soft Smiley

I finished my Drops scarf! Cheesy  Thanks again for the pattern...I used every inch of my handspun yarn (about two feet left!)...now to finish my seed stitch scarf...that will be my WIP for tomorrow!

I used size 2 needles and instead of closing the increases, I left the holes because I like them...it also made it easier for me to remember the increases! Cheesy  Thanks trekky for a fun pattern link!
