I haven't done a WIP Wednesday in soo long.  What have you guys been knitting?

I'm still working on my never-ending cable sweater.

My goal this week is to try to get another couple inches done.  If I just do a little a week...it *should* get done by winter, right?  Smiley

What are you guys working on this week?

Also, I really want to get a knitting challenge up and running next week.  Can you guys come over here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410291.0
and give me some suggestions for themes that you'd like to do. Smiley

Pretty cables!

WIP - some wise Hilda socks...

I'm on the heel of the second sock.  My aim is to finish them this week.

A knitting challenge sounds like great fun!  Smiley

Thanks! I got the yarn in a supermarket ages ago, and am trying to stash bust.

And the exciting thing is... I finished them tonight! (whilst watching the football).  Now what to cast on next?  Smiley

Your sweater looks like it will be really pretty! My rule is if I'm doing any big project, it better be cabled or else I'll get bored, lol.

And love the color of your sox!

This week I'm working on a few things, but while we had a couple coolish days I was trying to get more work done on my cabled blanket. I'm 400+ yards or so into it (almost done with my first ball, and they are 470+ yards). Now that it's blasted hot again, I put it to the side to work on my smaller things, but that's my main project.

(this picture is old.. I'm a lot farther along in it now)

My other project is another little star, but I don't have a picture.
And my other project is making a cup cozy based on a pattern for a sweater I want to make. I really want to be working on the sweater, but don't have the yarn yet, so thought I'd play with the pattern and make a gift for my coworker who feeds my Starbucks habit every now and then, lol... No picture of that yet, either.

Here is one of my WIP's ....

The Hitchhiker!

I have 12 of the 42 points so far. It is an easy knit but slow because of the small needles and yarn! This is for a friend whose father just passed away expectantly. I am trying to knit happy thoughts in it for her!

twisted5whispers - that is a very thoughtful gift, and the colour you have picked is beautiful.

My WIP is a drops fabel shawl for my nan, last time I was visiting her she was really eyeing mine up, and even tried it on.  It is her birthday this week, so I thought I'd cast one on for her.  I found some pretty Opal Vincent van Gogh yarn to knit it with, and a friend sent me the cutest guinea pig stitch markers.
