mandyandbingley - That is a lovely jumper.  Really nice colour.

I've finally finished my Christmas / Birthday / New baby gifts - hurrah!  So last night I found the socks I cast on ages ago for myself, and sat down to do some knitting for me!!!  Grin

Mandyandbingley---your sweater-making skills are amazing!

I am mostly making fingerless mitts and hats for gifts but will soon be casting on for myself!

Trekky--what sock pattern are you using?  What gorgeous yarn!

I will be joining you...I have been sewing a lot with DPNs and feel like I can make socks now! Cheesy

I already have the yarn!  Just need a simple pattern! And, I need to make two, not one... Cheesy

Lol, yeah making two would be good... or if you get bored of one pattern, make a different one and call it a pair Wink

I have a mitten pattern I want to start after this sweater (or before I finish, I can't decide, lol) and I hope I won't get bored before I finish both. I have a hard time making myself make sleeves for that reason... and my sweaters would look really silly with one arm Wink

Thank you!  The yarn is Rico Superba Stripy, it is very bright!  The pattern I am using is Simple Sock Pattern by Sue Morgan, which I got free with some yarn I brought ages ago.

If you are after a simple sock pattern, I can recommend Wise Hilda Knits Basic Ribbed Sock.  They are a K3p1 rib throughout, so even if your sizing isn't perfect, the rib will be forgiving, so they will fit perfectly!  (compared to a mostly stockinette sock, where you measurements will need to be a bit more spot on).  I've used the Wise Hilda pattern a number of times, and have really enjoyed it.  I just picked the simple sock pattern for these socks as I wanted to show off the stripes more!

This is the first sock, I'm hoping that I won't get 'one sock syndrome'... Cheesy

I prefer slouchy socks so the ribbed sock looks pretty good to me!  Thanks...the yarn I am using is an all over looking tweedy pattern..thanks!

I've been so busy crafting, i haven't really had time to spend on Craftster.

I just finished an infinity scarf, and two hat/fingerless mitts/scarf sets for my aunt's coworker. Whew. I honestly wasn't sure if i would finish before their winter break.

I took advantage of Knit Picks' Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. I plan on making myself a pair of socks soon.

I'm working on a sweater right now. Arleen by Dona Knits.
I'm using Wool of the Andes in Midnight.

Hello 2013!  My WIP Wednesday is as part of my crafty NY resolutions... to de-stash!

It is the ten-stitch blanket by Frankie Brown, my aim is to use as much of the acrylic DK yarn that I have.  Hopefully it won't take me all year!  Cheesy

Do you have a link to the pattern?  I have a trash bag full of little balls of acrylic that I can't bear to toss, but don't know what to do with it!  I could use a project that I can pick up and do as I watch tv but has no deadline! Cheesy

I love those colors...mine will be a bit more earthy as I tend to use greens and browns for a lot of projects!
