It is nice to have other knitters cheering you on Smiley Makes you want to make progress to show everyone.

If you don't want to get cable needles right away, you can always use a DPN, though I do prefer a cable needle because it doesn't feel like it's in the way as much.

I got sidetracked a bit and for some reason, had to knit a Dr. Who tardis hat! Cheesy

I was a bit lazy and cheated a bit, but I just had to have one.  I have enough yarn left to do a few tardis washcloths as well or maybe a short scarf with a tardis motif...not sure...I forgot my camera so I will have to upload pictures tonight..

Oh, fun! I always want to knit a Tardis something or other, but not sure what, lol.

I started knitting my latest sweater (my 3rd!), I think I'm in love with knitting sweaters, lol. It's Gwendolyn, a beautiful cabley sweater. The pattern called for it to be knit flat, but I'm knitting in the round, and added a couple more cables, as the small was just supposed to have rubbing running up the sides, which looked stupid to me on such a pretty cabled sweater.

I'm knitting with Green Mountain's Maine Organic... and I'm in love, lol. I love using undyed yarns. This one still has that sheepy smell to it, only right now I wouldn't want to be caught in a rain storm with it, because wet it smells just like a barn, even my dog didn't like the smell of it when wet, lol.

Anyway, here is what I have done so far (6,806 stitches, in case anyone wondered, lol)

Your cables are so inspiring...I would definitely need to start with a much simpler pattern if I ever made a sweater! Cheesy

I just ordered Noro Knits from Amazon because there was a sweater in the book that I think I could make!

Your yarn is lovely--I also love natural yarns..I like the lanolin feel and even the smell is sort of rustic and earthy to me...it takes me back in time, if you know what I mean... Cheesy

Very pretty!  You always do such complicated cabled sweaters!  Smiley

I know exactly what you mean, that's part of what I love about this yarn, I even told my cousin's wife that it smells "rustic" or "old cabiny" lol. I'm even finding bits of hay and grass here and there spun into it, lol, but I actually like that about the yarn.
