HOW THIS SWAP WORKS:
Claims are made throughout the swap period. You have three weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim.
You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a hoopla that has not been received; when that hoopla is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to bring it back up to 2 or 3.) If, at any point, you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

FOCs are allowed to make a maximum of 3 outstanding claims.
Non-FOCs are allowed to make a maximum of 2 outstanding claims.
First time swappers are allowed to make a maximum of 1 outstanding claim.

Posting pictures of received hooplas is required for this swap.
If you are unable to do so, you are expected to contact the person who claimed you and ask them to please do so for you.

CLAIMING
1. Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...

This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer closes out the claiming part of the swap and continues this swap in the next round starting in the next month.

2. How to make a claim:
A claim post should include the following information:
1. The theme you are choosing and who youre sending it to.
2. The send by date (three weeks from the date the claim is made)
3. Statistical info about your current swap claims status:

Claims = Total claims
Sent = anything currently in the mail.
Received = the hooplas received by the people you've sent them to.
Formatted thusly (claims outstanding/claims sent/claims received)

4. Your location.
5. Your personal preferences.
6. Your list of themes.
7. *Optional* Any wist or pinterest that would be relevant.

ONCE YOU HAVE MADE A CLAIM:
1. Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address

2. You have 3 weeks to complete each hoopla (equivalent to at least a medium or 2 hours in crafting time), and have it in the mail to its new owner. You cannot have more than your maximum allotted claims outstanding (3 for FOC, 2 for non-FOC, 1 for new swappers)

ONCE YOU HAVE SENT OR RECEIVED A HOOPLA

1. Please PM the organizers (Averia & homerof2) and claimer/claimee when you send or receive a hoopla.
2. Label the message as Ongoing Hoopla Swap Sent or Received,
3. Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3) who sent it

FEEDBACK
Positive feedback will be given when all of the hooplas you sent have been received. Good communication is vital and will be noted in feedback.

ANY QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the organizers. This thread is specifically for claims only.

Time to open the swap for claims! First person up is... me! Here's the last claim from last round.

Thanks!

I am sneaking in one last claim as I close this round down.

I claim mousee23 for Princess Bride Send out date June 6th.

About Me: My name is Laura and I live in Maryland with my husband, 3 kids, a dog, a cat, and a mini rex rabbit

I love cross stitch and embroidery and I have a large wall set aside for hoops. It has had many beautiful additions from swapping, but there is a ton of room left to fill.

I am a huge fan of Firefly/Serenity, steampunk, and the color blue in all shades. Most rooms in my house are white or beige with blue accents, my living room is pale green. I need some color. I'm trying to make our house feel something like a beach cottage (even tho we are about 30 minute drive from the Chesapeake bay) but the house has more of an overstuffed, cluttered, lived in feel.

Here are my themes!

lyrics to the Firefly theme song
    blackwork
    monochromatic in blues
a mini cross stitched quilt (any pattern)
    silly frogs/tree frogs/faerie frog
    Celtic knotwork
    Meowth/Team Rocket
    Pirate wench/pirate girl
    a dark/goth faerie
    Pinterest surprise
Anything at all that inspires you

I claim Averia for blackwork
Send by July 21st

1/0/0

I'm Cindy and I live in Alberta, Canada.  I love bright colors (except mint green and baby blue) but I also like dark purple, dark blue and dark green.  I want solid backgrounds for my hoops rather than a busy material as I like the work to really stand out.  Please don't send me anything with profanity or nudity and I'd ask that you don't use felt to create any part of the hoop (except for backing.)  I have enough with felt right now.  Smiley

My themes:

      - Teddybears
      - Mr. Potatoe Head
      - snowmen
      - Old sewing machines
      - Old telephones
      - Old typewriters
      - anything from my hoop board on Pinterest - here's the link
      - dandelions (the more realistic looking, the better)
      - cross stitch/embroidery themed

Hi Im Rebecca, Im 23 and I live in the North East of England. I still live at home with my Dad but he works away Monday to Friday, but thats ok because I have my lovely boyfriend and 2 cutie pie cats to keep me company through the week.

I am going for a certain look with my fledgeling hoop wall, its probably easier to say what NOT to include, as I dont want to limit creativity, but I would prefer:
-no neon colours
-nothing too eco/hippy
- no rudey-nudeys (live with dad + hoop wall being in a shared room would = AWKWARRRRD!)
- a more grown up / classy feel Fun is fine, but overly cartoony would be a shame

Hah, Im being awkward arent I ??

THEMES! In no particular order.

-   Cryptozoology (I got an awesome kraken last round a bigfoot/sasquatch/yeti would be ace!)
-   DisneyLand - more the rides than the characters. Tower of terror and Haunted Mansion are my faves
-   All seeing eye pyramid
-   Hunger Games
-      Something Pinterest-y ( I only just got it, but it's constantly getting bigger!) http://pinterest.com/okrebeccajay/
-      Native American (feathers, wolves, dreamcatchers etc..)

I claim rubylynns for pink stand mixer due July 28th
1/0/0

Hi, I'm Laura, and I also live in Ohio, although I'm from Anchorage Alaska, and that reflects a lot in my taste! I have a 6 year old girl, and a 4 year old boy, and have been married to my husband 9 years (in about a week!). I don't want anything vulgar/profane/scary. Cutesy is ok! I've been starting my hoop wall in my kitchen, and the space I'm putting it in goes over my cabinets so  hoops 4-5" fit best.. other sizes will just have to find a place somewhere else, I guess!  I tend to like earthy tones the best, but I am just starting my hoop collection, so I'm excited by almost anything!

Here are my themes:
Big Bang Theory (I am obsessed....message me for ideas of what I'm wanting...I have tons of ideas!)--or your own ideas!
Alaska (mountains!!, animals, Anchorage skyline, Alaska outline with the heart where Anchorage is, etc)
Animals (our favorites are: Moose, Manatee, polar bear, owl, cute monkeys, gorillas, dolphin, penguin)
Superheroes (for my son-- example: Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, Green Lantern---the person or the symbol--or mix)
Pick a season and craft it (winter/spring/summer/fall)
The beach!
Clothesline (this can be bigger b/c I think I'll hang in laundry room...I'd love it to say something like ----I'd rather be hanging outside--whatever you want!)
Anything from my Pinterest hoop board
Inspiring quotes from my let's consider this board

I'm claiming dragonflyducky for a Doctor Who themed hoop.

1/0/0

Hey there!  I'm Sandy from Kalamazoo, MI, and I love HOOPLA!! I'm a theatre geek from way back, and am doing my best to raise my children in the theatre.  I love a variety of things - so I'm not opposed to crafter's choice.

I'm not too particular on themes - I love seeing what other people come up with, so crafter's choice is always an option.

My Themes:
Whedonverse-inspired
Superheroes
quirky art
disney-esque (think aladdin, or hercules, or nightmare before christmas)
harry potter
vampires (non-twilight as real vamps don't sparkle)
victorian clothing
jewel tones, especially reds, blues, and purples.
Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony (or My LIttle Pony in general)
Doctor Who (quotes, adipose, tardis, etc)
Lego pop culture (I'm obsessed with the video games, neveryoumind that i'm 32)

Or, for my lovely children-
Thomas the train and friends
Princess type stuff
Adventure Time or Sonic the Hedgehog

I do have a pinterest: http://pinterest.com/sandracanderson/
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

I claim Sandroo for Thomas The Train due 7/29
2/0/0

Hi, I'm Laura, and I live in Ohio, although I'm from Anchorage Alaska, and that reflects a lot in my taste! I ask that my hoops come from a smoke free home, please!

I claim crazy4bags for Fairy/gnomes/toadstools etc Send out date Aug 2nd.

Here are my themes!

    blackwork
    monochromatic in blues
a mini cross stitched quilt (any pattern)
    silly frogs/tree frogs/faerie frog
    Celtic knotwork
    Meowth/Team Rocket
    Pirate wench/pirate girl
    a dark/goth faerie
    Pinterest surprise
Anything at all that inspires you

I claim Johnson.mom2two for a Big Bang Theory hoop! Due Aug 3, 1/0/0

Hi, I'm Julie, and I live in the Dallas area (but I'm originally from Chicago and still consider that home). I'm a fifth grade teacher and truly believe I have the best job in the world. I'm married to an amazing man who also loves to craft (in his own, manly way), and we have a very spoiled cat named Sadie. I'm also a singer, and music is an enormous part of our lives. If you claim me, please know that I will be out of town until the first week of August; I ask that you either send as close to the actual send-out date as possible, or just know that your hoop will be sitting at the post office until I return!

I have a lot of wonderful quotes on my hoop wall right now, so I ask that hoops be more "image" than "word" based, if that makes sense. I love blue, purple, green, metallics, and earth tones; not as big on pastels and neons.

I'm trying to keep my themes pretty general because I want you to take some creative license with it. I hope you'll accept the challenge! Smiley

Themes:

- treble clef
- books
- owls (nothing too cutesy please - not for a nursery! Wink)
- cat (a brown/grey tabby would be great)
- little red schoolhouse
- autumn
- a peaceful, rustic camp scene
- flowers
- anything from my hoopla board on Pinterest (right now I especially love the constellation, jackelope, and bunting I've pinned)

Thanks! Smiley

I claim Poison_Of_Gull  for Steampunk  Cheesy

This is my first claim (1,0,0) Send by August 6th, 2012

Christy here, I'm 39, I live in Jacksonville, Florida.  I love birds, fishing, gardening, and my new nano ceramic pots and pans that I got from QVC, lol.

I can't stand Zombie Themes (really, dont get me started), Nudity (I have kids, and though we're not prudes we tend to keep our tata's to ourselves), cartoons are a no also because of those 3 kids and their shows songs constantly going through my head, or kitsch [shudder] I prefer white, cream, or black backgrounds.

So what do I like?  Hmmmmm
~ Saltwater fish (outline only would be awesome)...like Black Drum, Sea Bass, Grouper, Perch (I now have 2 awesome outlines on my fishing wall of a redfish and a flounder!!)
~ Trees/Woodland Theme (I'm a huge Bob Ross fan because of all his happy little trees)
    ~ Castle Ruins
~ Birds (wrens, crows, sparrows, robins, cardinals)
    ~ Flower Gardens or bouquets
~ Herbs (I've already got the rosemary and fennel)
~ Surprise based on pinterest boards

My favorite colors are pretty much anything but pastels or neons, I'm also not overly fond of purple, most of my favorite colors can be found simply by taking a walk or hike and of course I gold and silver are lovely too.

I'm Cindy and I live in Alberta, Canada.  I love bright colors (except mint green and baby blue).

THEMES!

I claim time for Futurama (Zoidberg specific)!
Due August 19th.
1/1/1

Hi! I'm a married mother of two little girls. I am originally from Southern California, but now reside in Indiana! My hoopla wall is very young and only has hooplas from me and the vintage ones I find at the Goodwill.

I would love anything geek, but I am not a fan of neon.

~Dr. Who
~Chemistry (beakers, funny quotes or spelling a word from the periodic table of elements.)
~Solar System (Any of the eight planets, Saturn is my favorite.)
~Cute Monsters
~ Happy Humanist Human
~Coffee/Tea
~Owls
~Ruby Gloom
~Star Wars
~Mario or Zelda themed
~Masonic or Shriner themed

Thanks!
