I was wondering if anyone might be interested in a swap inspired by Knickertwists post about her nonsense mushrooms.

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=408484.0

This is such a wonderful idea and I know I would love to find one of these!

I thought maybe participants could fill out a questionnaire about their hometown - what items might fit in, what stories/poems/letters could have great themes, where they are inspired to hide items, and what type of crafts they like to make.

Then you send a few of these to your partner, who in turn hides them around their town. This way you share a smile with someone across the country (or world). The partner could check on them periodically to see if they have been picked up. If you wanted, you could add your email address to see if you might make a friend with the person who found it (and this way, that person is not in your hometown).

Just a thought, but I love this idea!

I think it's a great idea. I live in quite a small town and it would be great to show off other people's work Smiley

There's a group on facebook right now organized by Michael DeMeng that is just for this sort of thing. I think it would be really neat to include a note saying something like "This piece of art/craft, has travelled all the way from Canada just for you!"

Maybe it could be an "International Covert Art Abandoners Swap"? Which would be awesome because that says I. C. ASS. lol  Cheesy

I'm glad to hear there is a bit of interest!

We could include a small crafted item as well if people might be more interested in having a craft to keep. Or the items have to be in a crafted bag/box? Or just look at it as a way to craft without filling up your house with more stuff?
