Butterfly's touch - my first miniature book pendant (pic heavy)

I have been really wanting to make some mini books for some reason and recently was in the pendant swap so these were two that I made while in that process.  They actually did not make it in the pendant swap so I am keeping one, and giving one away to a friend at work if she wants it.

The coveres are made from patina-ed brass pieces that were hand cut and sanded, then embossed.  Atsuko sent me some charms in the last bead soup swap, so I used a couple of them for the cover, riveting them on after the embossing.



Inside are various "pages"







and the back cover etched with a slightly different image





I put some more detail in my blog post, hopefully you don't have any problems seeing it, but my antivirus was giving everyone trouble with Blogger last night - I assure you it is not a fraudulent, phishing site - I don't even allow ads on it, it is just a straight up blog.

Thank you - a lot of people at work commented that they liked it.  Maybe I may make a few more, maybe some in copper, and see if I can sell them.  Or at least give them away to co-workers

The person I gave one to liked it so much she gave me one of her pendants in return - she gave me an adorable glass gummy bear pendant and chain she got at a local craft fair last year.  The funny thing was, when she saw me today, I was wearing another pendant I made, a resin one, and she liked that one too, so I just gave it to her.
