Hooray! Potential swappers! I'm so excited to see what folks will be making! And, indigo_roses, it's nice to see you! Wink

IsikkahJai, thanks for the offer to co-organize! I'm keeping it in my back pocket in case I need it. I've never organized a big swap before, so if this one grows and grows, I'd love it if you pitched in!

And, in classic form, I'll be procrastinating on my more-intensive-than-I-expected online summer class by doing a bit of crafting, including some stationery. I think I'll make 2 sets of note cards and 2 sets of stationery. That way, at most, I'll only have to make one additional set (if I get claimed for all note cards or all stationery). And, if luck should have it, I won't have to make any additional sets and I get the set that's left Smiley

SSS's are pretty much my favourite kind of swap, so I love that that's how this is being run.

I went out to get supplies today. ...Completely ignoring the fact that I have an entire 12x12 box of cardstock. Shopping inspires me, what can I say?

Tomorrow's kind of insane, I have a baby shower and a bunch of online commitments. But I should be able to try out stuff Tuesday, so maybe examples on Wednesday?

Sounds like a plan, gala_apples! And, I know what you mean about inspirational shopping. Sometimes, just one new craft supply item is all it takes to get the gears turning!

I've got my samples about half done, so hopefully I'll have them posted by tonight. Yesterday did not go as planned.

So, I guess that "half done" was an overestimation, especially since 80% of what I had all set to go didn't work out the way I wanted. So, I had to pretty much redo most of it.

But, I think I'm really half done now (or maybe 45% done Smiley ).

I'm tired, so probably not reading properly, but I can pick what I offer, right?  So, I could make three different kinds of notecards?  I don't have any interest in stationery, so I'm trying to figure out if I can make this work with just notecards or if this swap just isn't the perfect match for me.  I'm not trying to be difficult, I promise!  I love, love, love sending notecards, so would love to participate in the swap.  I just don't want to have stationery that someone really worked hard on just sitting around collecting dust.

You're half right! You have to offer a sample of stationary and a sample of a notecard. And then once sign ups close people decide if they want 10 peices of stationary, or 8 cards from you. So you might end up making 3 sets of stationary, or 2/1, 1/2, or 0 stationary and 3 sets of cards.

However, you do get to pick what you want to recieve. So you can for sure get three sets of cards.

Well, I wouldn't have the first clue as to what to do with stationery, so I guess that answers that!

Thank you so much for the clarification and I'll be stalking your gallery to see what you lovely ladies have made!  Smiley

How might you be thinking of making your note cards? It may be possible for you to use certain aspects of the note cards on stationery. Maybe you can keep an eye on the thread to see how other folks are doing things are get some stationery inspiration from that. We'd love to have you join in!

And, gala_apples, thanks for answering her question! I've been a bit bogged down trying to get into the flow of an online class (they say you can do it at your convenience, but then they post deadlines... and they're not always convenient Tongue ).

I sent out two swaps today...one bound for Australia and one for Kansas. So I SHOULD be able to make it. I'll start making samples, just in case  Wink After all, one can never have too many note cards/stationary setting around.  Cheesy

I have boxes of note cards/greeting cards that are "too pretty to use!" One of my goals this summer is to start writing more letters and I think that this swap will get me on the way!

And, I'm about to do finish my note cards, as soon as I send this (and change over some laundry).
