I will sign up soon. I have a ton of notecard ideas, so I need to narrow that down. Conversely, I need to do some poking around the internet before I get any ideas for stationary.

I don't understand. I was hoping to join this too, but it sounds a bit complicated for me. I'm not very organized, so I like things a bit more black and white.

What size would the stationary have to be? and would it have to be lined or unlined?

Good question!

I would say that the stationery should be the same size as a "standard" note card fully opened, which is half of an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet. So, a sheet of stationery should be 5 1/2" X 8 1/2". Of course, if you wanted to send larger envelopes you could send larger sheets.

And, I'd say that for lined or unlined, you can make either!

I will sign up soon. I have a ton of notecard ideas, so I need to narrow that down. Conversely, I need to do some poking around the internet before I get any ideas for stationary.

To make it easier on yourself, is there a way to use your note card embellishments on a piece of stationery? I'll try to put together something tomorrow (especially since I have to post pictures of what I'm planning to offer) that shows what I mean.

I don't understand. I was hoping to join this too, but it sounds a bit complicated for me. I'm not very organized, so I like things a bit more black and white.

Basically, you will "offer" a set of note cards or stationery to 3 partners. You will need to post a picture of what you have already made, or plan to make (a sample of stationery and a sample of a note card). Then, you make a set for each of your three partners. For example, I plan to send floral cutout stationery and/or note cards. I'll post a picture of a sheet or two of the stationery and one or two note cards to show the style I'll be making.

Once sign-ups end, you'll look at what is being "offered" and send me your top 5 choices. I'll match partners up and then you'll send either note cards or stationery to your 3 partners. I'll try to give everyone at least one of their top choices.

In some ways, it's a lot easier than a regular swap since you'll mostly be deciding what you want to make and not basing it on your partners' likes/dislikes (except in special cases, but that's more for me to worry about when I match folks). I predict that the hardest part will be in picking out your 5 top choices!

Let me know if that's still not clear! This is the first time I've organized a swap like this one. Maybe after I post my example tomorrow it'll help Smiley

Ooh, I'd love to do this! I'm not allowing myself to sign up until I finish my OTHPT and IYP packages, though.
