I'm kicking off the summer holidays by making sandals. They're cut from scratch out of a rubber floor mat and some cotton fabric. I'm going to make another pair with some adjustments (such as making the foot band a bit lower and possibly making the ankle straps start from the foot's arch).

Have a great weekend guys,

Yes! These are great! And a great idea. How did you do the bottom? *pinned*
Ribbons. We (since you are going to make more and I am definitely hopping onto this wagon) should use ribbons for the ties. And I totally agree: start the ties at the arch. Ooh, I need to figure out what to use for the bottoms so I can try a pair.

Wow, great idea.  I think starting the wrap part at the arch would be better, possibly help to keep your heel more stable.
