Dog toy

I found this tutorial on pinterest  http://punquin.livejournal.com/934455.html and because we have a new puppy and he is teething like there is no tomorrow, I decided to try to make some dog toys.  I could not really justify spending almost ten dollars per toy at Petsmart when he is just going to destroy them within a few days or weeks.  I have a few chunks of fleece laying around in my fabric stash to I decided to try my hand at a tug toy. 



It turned out well. I braided it nice and tight and the dogs seem to really like it. I know our local animal shelter is always in need of dog toy donations so I think I am going to buy up a bunch of fleece from Joanns (since it going on sale soon!) and make about 20 or so to donate.

What a thrifty idea and the orange fleece looks great.
