I made this Edward Scissorhands woodburning based on a simplified/tweaked version one of the movie posters. I had the wood for quite a while and I knew I wanted it to run up/down, so it was hard to find an image that I liked and would fit. I wasn't sure about splitting him in 1/2 lengthwise like I did, but I am super happy with how he turned out. The wood is stained with watercolor paint and then lightly sealed with Thompson's wood seal.

This is SO cool. I really think cutting him in half makes this piece so interesting. I like it better than if the whole image was there. The watercolor stain is awesome too.

Great job!!

This is so beautiful!  Maybe because that's one of my favorite movies, but you really captured HIM, and the composition, like Lime said, is simply lovely.

It's beautiful. I agree, cutting him in half makes it even more brilliant. And it's a bit ironic, eh? Edward Scissorhands?? Cutting??? LOL
