Apparently I'm on a cardboard box kick lately.  Here's another little reconstructed project for the little guy.  If it wasn't so humid this evening, I would have set the projector up outside with a sheet!  Alas, we had a drive-in movie night in the family room.  He woke up from his nap and I had this little surprise setup for him.

Complete with shag carpet (a pillow), snacks (Cheerios, popcorn and water).  The snack tray is an old shower accessories holder.  I attached it with zip ties through the wall of the box.

Some unused bobbins as buttons/knobs and a set of toy keys for the dashboard.

License plate made from a shoebox lid, construction paper and felt stick-on letters.  Adhered with oodles of hot glue.  His bumper sticker is just a random puppy magnet I found in my stash.  Wheels are craft foam, cut into circles and CDs.

Movie's starting!

Happy guy

The steering wheel is from another toy.  I attached it with zip ties.

He has a Padiddle. Cheesy  I only had one push light in the junk drawer. Sad  I attached it with hot glue.

That is adorable!  I officially want you to adopt me so that I can take naps and wake up to an awesome drive-in.

Aww, you're the sweetest!

Love this age for total craft appreciation.  He is so inquisitive and excited for the projects.  I mean, really, he jumps up and down and CLAPS for craft projects.  Not getting any better than this. Cheesy

Both delightful and inspiring.  You're not just crafting a very cool toy, you're crafting a childhood.

Fantastic idea! I've made cars, trains, houses, a tree house and even a huge maze from cartons but this takes the cake!!! Love the extras. It's like a "How would have thought" moment! I love your picture taking skills. You can "see" so much more! Thanks for sharing your evening at the movies.
