I've decided to sell some of my handmade supplies - along with a few charms and watch parts, but I'm mainly concerned about the handmade items here.
Shop:
http://en.dawanda.com/shop/khaos-suppliesThe cameos and bird skulls are made of polyer clay, ready to ship in blackxgrey or grey only. I offer them in higher quantities (usually there's only one item listed) and other colours.
First question: do you think it would be a good idea to make the cameos / bird skulls in other colours and make special listings for them? This would mean:
+ more options to chose from
+ customers would see the colour options in the shop
+ other colour options than blackxgrey would be ready to ship, too
- the shop would be more cluttered
- I'd have to pay more listing fee for options that could easily be covered in one listing
When looking for supplies, do you search for the colours you like? Would you even view a listing if you'd rather have the item in other colours than shown?
My other concern is the prices... I've been told that they're too cheap for handmade items, but then again I think they're quite high when it comes to supplies in general.
What do you think?
The shop is mostly aimed at crafters who make jewelry for themselves (or their families, friends...) instead of for sale, that's why I sell everything in small quantities.
When I started to make jewelry I had quite a hard time finding nice supplies that I didn't have to buy in larger sets.
