Well, I seem to be in a sewing lull, so I will share what I have made since my last post here.  I drafted all these patterns, some were from RTW and some were just from measurements.

Skirt only

Thanks for looking! Smiley

In love with the blue cowl top! Almost made me forget about what the other items were. The white flowered dress with lace is adorable and the green skirt looks so cozy hippie to me (my bf has a hippie-type affinity, so I can't help it.) I love the contrasting panels you use in some of the pieces, makes them that much more fun.

And the swimsuits? You're kinda my hero.

ALL of this is brilliant, but I'm particularly in love with that white blouse- it's so classic, yet so unexpected! Do you do all of your own patterns, or...? You got a "rocks" from me for this great collection!

Thanks so much, both of you!

PixieSkull - do not let swimsuits intimidate you!  They really are not that hard.  I have been making swimming suits for my daughter for years and they are no harder than anything else.  I drafted this suit pattern off a RTW one that I owned that fit me.  Once you have a pattern that fits you can change it up.

leopardstripes - Yes, I do draft my own patterns, but some of them are really just copies of RTW.  I sometimes use Glad Press N' Seal to do it, but a lot of times I just lay a garment out and trace it.  Usually this means I need to still modify it a bit to make the pattern fit the best, but once you get a few well-fitting patterns you can start changing them up.  I generally don't buy any patterns anymore.  I have some jacket and pants patterns I want to try to make, but most of my shirts and skirts are ones that I made.

Is the outfit in the first couple of pictures separates or a dress? I love it regardless but I'm curious.
Secondly, I adore how you styled the white/bright pink floral and lace maxi skirt and tank. I'm not usually a massive fan of matching separates but this works so well with the black jacket and long layered necklaces.
And finally; you have such a beautiful, radiant smile! Please share that with the world, it lights up your entire face.

Yes, that first one is a dress.  I made the second into separates because I wanted to be able to use the pieces with different tops and bottoms.

And thanks about my smile!  Grin

All of these are fabulous!! Absolutely gorgeous! You really know what styles and lines suit your body and set it off fantastically! I have to say that the white peplum blouse and brocade style skirt is my favorite outfit on you. It makes you look like such an elegant, modern Victorian lady! And the last outfit with the striped skirt looks so sporty and fun but still with such class! You're such an inspiration to me to find my own style, pieces that suit me and my body, and then to create an unlimited wardrobe with the tweaks and variations. Very cool! Thank you for sharing!
