This is my midsummer package from Monnie.  I love it!  I am working on my BoS and these will make a great addition!   Pages include a Midsummer fact sheet, fire spell, and some chants.  She even included some pictures of the Goddesses/Gods associated with Midsummer.  She left enough room for notes (well thats what Im going to use it for)   Thanks Monnie  Grin  (and I love the paper you sent the note on)

I feel the same way about my package.  It shouldn't have taken so long to receive.  EmbarrassedUPSETTING

I received a wonderful envie from whileitsraining while I had been on vacation.

I very pretty drawing (that had my 7 year old giggling away), a bag of lavender (which made the whole envie smell wonderful), and a recipe for honey-lavender biscotti (which I can not wait to try out!).

Thank you so much whileitsraining Smiley I have started working on my BOS again...the recipe and picture are going to get put right in. Also good luck to you with that little chicken nugget!

Honey-lavender biscotti! Shocked That sounds amazing!

I received a great envelope from momof2! today.

She sent me a nice note with a list of great things about midsummer, with an item associated with each of them:

1. Reading - a very sunny laminated bookmark.

2. Peach ice cream - the recipe included. It sounds delicious, and I recently bought one of those ball ice-cream freezers at a yard sale and have been meaning to try it out. I think the time has come, although our peach crop here is apparently non-existent this year, so it'll have to be imported ones.

3. Picking wild blackberries - a photo of the actual bushes

4. Planting winter greens: handmade seed disks with turnip greens and marigolds (to keep bugs away). This is absolutely brilliant! I'll have to find a spot to plant them - the problem in my garden isn't insects, it's slugs, and I think they'll just laugh at the marigolds. Tongue Maybe in a pot is safer.

Thanks so much for this - I hope you enjoyed your first Wiccan/Witchy/Pagan Swap!

Not sure if you've tried this for your slugs, but they hate copper, I copper around the edge of my raised beds, and they won't cross it.
