HI everybody.

You know, I love Halloween. I know not everyone celebrates which is cool. I've taught my kids to be respectful about others practices and opinions. But sometimes, I think people take their "We don't celebrate Halloween" attitude a little too far, especially when it robs my son of happiness. He doesn't need to hear how stupid you think his 2nd favorite holiday is. You don't have to snap at him for asking if you are going to decorate soon.

Granted, I'm not a big fan of demon corpses, crazy clowns, and heads on a spike that line a chain link fence in our town, but my son is going to enjoy decorating our door with egg carton spiders on a web and carved pumpkins on our doorstep. And, if you don't like it, you can suck it!

Back to your regular schedule Halloween fun. What are your favorite Halloween memories?

Awwww that horrible that they would be that mean about it!!  And just like you said, we respect that they don't celebrate it!!  So they should respect that we do!!!  I'm sure he'll have fun regardless

As it is my favorite holiday, I tend to start planning Halloween during the summer. Most of my friends are fine with it, but some family friends always try to give me a hard time... it can be annoying but I try to ignore them. Its also my "big spending" holiday which puts some people off. I don't like Christmas but you don't see me making fun of you for starting planning months before I even start Halloween planning.

Anyway, feeling slightly behind still... I should be good for first box sendouts but I still need to figure out another large and some mediums. I also think that the boxes are going to be big but not very heavy, so thats a plus...

I'm sorry somebody gave your sweet baby a hard time about liking Halloween.  I'm w/you, I would have told them to suck it, and suck it real hard!  (Yes, I mean that to sound just as it does.)  I don't like bloody, gory, creepy for Halloween.  But, I do decorate.  I think I have more cute Halloween decorations, than I do Christmas decorations.  And, Christmas is my favorite holiday.  I have always enjoyed decorating for Halloween, dressing up, watching my boys dress up, and taking them trick or treating.  We don't go trick or treating any more.  My boys are 14yrs and 19yrs old.  I make stuffed animals to give away to the little kids that come to my door.  The 1st year we were in this house, we only got a few trick or treaters.  Last year, we got a whole lot more.  I'm hoping for a lot of trick or treaters this year.  I imagine, my house will become quite popular again this year, after the word begins to spread that I'm giving away stuffed animals again.

mama24boyz, that bat stuffie I made for you, for the random swap, is what I made and gave away last Halloween.  I made 10 of them.  I have a different bat stuffie that I'm going to make and give away this Halloween.  I'm hoping to get 10 of them done too.
