so excitied, Just finished up day 13. ANd now I have 1 day left. Day 6. Than I will count and wrap and box up and mail out this next week. Everything turned out so great I think this is the best Halloween swap I have crafted for and I have done a few over the past 3 years.

I got a couple more things done today. Granted I'm *still* procrastinating on day 13. Meh...for some reason it is just being a pill. I did come up with a fabulous solution for day 6 though since my original idea failed me.

I'm devoting this weekend largely to finishing up swap items.  A little shopping, 2 good-sized projects to finish up, lots of finishing touches.....  With a little luck, I'll be ready to ship on Thursday!!

I thought the 12 Days of Christmas swap was big, which it is, but this Halloween one has proven to be a little more time consuming for some reason.  Fun, just a loooooooot of work.  Already considering doing next year

I have a ? for anybody that knows about the Post Office's priority mail flat rate boxes.

1.What is the largest size box the PO has available?
2.How much does that box ship for?
3. Is the shipping the set price for the box? 

I'm trying to find the cheapest way to ship my package.  As it is right now, I have a medium moving box and a hat box.  I paid $18 today, to ship a small moving box.  I need to stay within a shipping budget.

So I just finished 2 smalls, and had the best thing happen. (maybe it's just me but..) whenever I start a stash busting yarn project, I never have enough yarn, and end up having to buy more to finish the "stash buster" which will in turn add more yarn to my stash. This morning, I had just enough yarn to finish up the 2nd small, and had about 6 in. left. I was so excited that I wouldn't have to by more yarn (totally defeating the purpose of a stash busting project!) I'm moving right along, gaining moment to try and finish everything to ship on the 5th. That's my goal, only because I hate making extra trips to the Post Office. Fighting off crochety retired people who have all the time in the world to do stuff and always seem to be at the P.O. on my lunch break, is not a good time, so I try to limit my encounters!

I LOVE when that happens!!  It usually ends up the way you said for me too though, where I have to buy a whole new skein to finish like 4 inches of something!!!  The worst is when you only have like 6 sts left to do!!!

The great thing about using a flat rate box is that you don't have to pay based on weight or dimensions of the box and you don't have to find or buy a box.
