This is my first go at making a decorated matchbox. It's travel themed, as you can see.




It's got some random things in it (who hasn't packed silly random things to take on holiday before?) as well as a mini passport with tissue paper pages and sewn binding, and a couple of 'polaroid' snapshots. They are some real photos of mine made to look like polaroids.



I found a place that sells matchbox blanks, so I was able to use a nice clean white box, without having to make one from scratch.

So perfect!  What did you use for the straps, handle, and corner protectors?
It's just construction paper. 210gsm, so it was the perfect weight for it. I did do some shading on them with pencil too, to make it look a bit more beaten up.
