Hi all! I thought I'd post here what I did for Father's day.
It's so simple, but I have the hardest time crafting for guys, I thought others might enjoy this really quick craft.
First I used these tiles I found at the hardware store. They are pretty and shiny and in neutral shades of brown and tan. I simply glued push pins to the back so he could use them in his home office. I made 20 pins, and I still have so many left over tiles, I may make him matching coasters later on. The flash causes the pins to show through the tile, but you can't see them in person. I tried hot glue, but I thought glass glue provided a stronger, longer lasting hold. However, the curing time is longer.
I also made him a custom eye chart that he can hang in the office. It's nice because it's not overtly crafty, and it has a hidden message. I got the idea from here
The message is "Unforgettable though near or far" from the song "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole.
To top it all off, I made a card that's a copy-cat from one I saw on pintrest here
Overall, nothing really original, but I like how everything turned out.
