So I decided to stop arguing with myself and just sign up. This is also my first points-based swap so I'm kind of excited to play. I need to put my thinking cap on and start brainstorming ideas. By which I mean spend yet more hours on pinterest stealing other people's brilliance...

I sent in my info. And I must say, I'm very happy with the 3 point system.  I am also doing a 7 point swap, and its insane!  3 is much more manageable.
