I love crochet patterns & crochet hats!

So I wanted to make something the other day.  It was one of those mornings where I had an URGE to crochet something, anything (have you ever been there?).  I grabbed a skein of pink yarn, a size H crochet hook, and sat on my bed, hoping something brilliant would come to mind.

Five minutes later, this little guy was made:

This crochet headband pattern is the simplest of patterns, but looks very advanced.  The entire pattern involves chains and slip stitches, but it can be weird to wrap your head around the technique at first.  To help with some of the confusion, I created a crochet how-to video because sometimes it helps to see what's going on. Smiley

And here's the entire pattern:

Materials:  Size H (5.0mm) crochet hook and a few yards of worsted weight yarn

Chain 25
Chain 5, work a slip stitch into the top of the 25th chain (first circle made)
Flip your work to make the slip stitch easier to work (optional watch the video for clarification, I promise its not as complicated or advanced as it sounds!)
*Chain 5, slip stitch into previous circle.  Flip work.*
Repeat from * to * around until you have 28 circles.

Chain 25 (creates second headband tie).
Fasten off, weave in ends.

For more details about this headband and other free crochet patterns, swing by my crochet blog.  Hope you enjoy! Smiley

Glad you enjoyed the pattern!  I'd love to see a picture of the headband in action if you have one.  I love seeing FOs.
