Remember Who You Are Charm Bracelet

After the hundreds of charm bracelets I've made for other people, I finally made one just for me!  I bought the letter charms for it about a year ago, when I bumped into them at a Ben Franklin Craft Store while visiting my parents in New Hampshire.  I loved the vintage look of them, and the mixed up appearance of the silver and antique gold.


The actual push to get me to pull them out and make it was pinkleo's Harry Potter Craftalong.  I decided that the Potions assignment, to create "something to help you remember", would be a wonderful excuse to finally put it together.  The thing that I wanted to remember was who I am, and where I come from.


My first and middle names both come from family members.  Jennie was my maternal great grandmother, and Phyllis was my paternal grandmother.




The rest of the charms are items of personal significance.  The crowned heart is sterling silver, and for my Scottish husband.  The lobster from where I grew up in New England.  The black disk is an art nouveau lady, for my interest in art and costume.

When I saw the notice about your new project, the title made me think of Lion King, but this is so much better!  LOVE the mix of metals and of course your charming thoughts, and YAY! Potions!

I have one of those silver charm bracelets that were all the rage in my day ( the 70s).  I really love your modern re-take with the mixed metals.  Makes me want to take mine out and add to it, now I'm married and a mother, and add those themes to it.  Maybe I can add some other metals without making it too yuckie.
