First time I've posted on the Jewelry board so be gentle with me  Grin

My oldest son is getting married in 10 days and I've had my dress and shoes for awhile but just couldn't find exactly what I wanted for a necklace (needed to be the right color and the right length) so I decided I'd attempt to make my own.  I went to Michaels for my supplies and never imagined how many different kinds and shades of red beads there would be.  I finally decided on what I liked and last night sat down to make it.  I had an idea in my head and I was able to make it work so that made me happy.

The findings I used (I think that's the correct term.)  Just loved the heart when I saw it

And the obligatory action shot  Cheesy  It hangs just where I wanted it to and will go so well with their black and red theme.

I don't usually wear red so I probably won't wear the above necklace other than my son's wedding so I wanted a different necklace for another wedding we are going to this summer and this is what I came up with:

Lovely job on both necklaces.  I warn you though, once you start beading, you will find it hard to stop.  Every time you need something to match an outfit, you'll never find anything as good as you can make, lol.
