IYP 21 Summer Soiree Gallery

I'm so glad you like what I sent, miknessevie (but I'm not surprised, since everything was based on something on your wist!)  The farm play mat is based on one made by Phizzychick, which you can see HERE.  Mine is made mainly of upholstery and drapery fabrics.  Here are a few of my pictures of the main items:

Berry bag.  I love this cute little bag!  I made two practice ones before this one.  I added interfacing to the first one, and it was too bulky to close well, so now it's my thread catcher in my sewing area!

I love that play mat! That's an awesome idea to use upholstery and drapery fabrics. Did you use one of those fabric sample books? It's so cute!

Fabulous packages!  I think it is great to have so many members inspire others to do their best work and personalize items...love the gorgeous apron and matching towels...

The Chicken felt badge is incredible...but my favorite is the sweater cushion cover...and also the nesting ball is a wonderful idea!  I just hang my yarn and thread bits on my fence...the vine balls would be a nice decor for me and still help out the birds!

Then, she sent me a bonus - a bird "nesting" ball - it's a grapevine like ball, with lots of wool roving and little pieces and bits, and I'll add more yarn or little pieces of fabric scraps and threads, and hang the ball outside for birds to use in making their nests. 

I'm going to make one of these for next spring - I've put bits of yarn out before but never thought to do it in such an organized fashion.

Yes, some of the fabrics were from a sample book I was given years ago; others came from the "free" remnant bin at an home decorator fabric store.  I was glad to finally find such a good use for them!

I just realised I haven`t even seen this galery,buy did I miss a lot!

I love these yarns and colors and erica`s doll and the shadow box are incredible!
The skirt-scarf set is sopretty and well done,Nilmberg`s quilted set is the envy of every house (OMG!WANT! ) and the painted scarf is just awesome! I love the Loopsy shirt (my kids are obsessed) and the patchwork landscape is incredible, plus i want EVERYTHING Nooo made
