I thought I was about done...but after a week with some awesome mods, I now have a few more things I am making...learning new skills is awesome for swaps with partners like luckdragon...ha ha my very own guinea pig!

My swap was will MissingWillow and I am just SO DELIGHTED!!
I told her how my husband is in a wheelchair and he has all this stuff that he carts around with him. He's been using this old funky cosmetic travel case that is about a zillion years old and it just doesn't work well. I gave MissingWillow a few pointers on what would be useful for him and she worked MAGIC!!!



I had mentioned that Jack is a vet and a confederate at heart. She looked for confederate fabric, but wasn't able to find any - NO problem! Jack is just tickled pink!!



It's so beautifully made and has all these wonderful pockets to make finding his stuff so much easier!! She also included pens and a note pad AND some confederate beer cap magnets AND a super lovely tin box which will now be his pill box!!

BUT WAIT!! THERE'S MORE!!! (gosh I am so spoiled!!)....

MissingWillow also included the most heavenly handmade and totally fragrant soaps!!



They're so pretty (a flower, a sheep (too kewl) and a leaf) I almost hate to even use them (almost)!!
AND she included a lovely note telling me about the search for confederate fabric and getting design help from her husband (and I didn't include any note in the package I sent her - I'm so bad about such things)!!

I am just tickled!! This was a super swap!!!

Yay!  I'm so happy it fits the bill of what you wanted to receive for your husband.  I couldn't send him goodies and not include something for you, too.    I hope you'll continue swapping, Harlan.  It's just too much fun!

Lovely total package as well...I can vouch that the soaps smell so yummy...seems that everyone who sees them wants to pick them up and smell them...especially kids!

MissingWillow, that bag looks super useful!  I'm sure Harlan's hubbie will get lots of use out of it! And the soaps are wonderful!

sheepblue - that whole package is fabulous, but I think my favorite things are the topographic map and the bear/people scarf!  oh and the teesha moore style pillow!! great stuff as always!

Everyone has done such a fantastic job!  All manner of crafty creative goodies!  Some awesome hooplas, t-shirts, dolls, soaps, bags, pillows and all the other stuff!

I have to get on the ball and finish up so I can send out!  I'm on the home stretch and I'm having trouble motivating!  urg!

I am so happy Harlan agreed to be my partner for this swap, it was her very first one!  She's an extremely talented artist who is an expert in needlefelting.  We raise texel sheep, and I am the lucky recipient of one of her felted twig sheep.  Look at this sweet face!  She's eating grass and there's even a bell hanging around her neck.

Here's a picture of our Beatrice so you can see how she absolutely nailed it! 


She has joined the other little creatures I've received in swaps, she looks right at home.   


Harlan also included a pair of her needle felted trumpet earrings, how lucky am I???
