I have read and looked at hair grips and finally got round to trying them out. Nothing special just some sewing thread, material scraps and glue and, thanks to the joys of a pound shop, very cheap hair grips in 2 sizes. Altogether they are very easy and cheap to make!



Thanks for the idea, all of you who have done these already. I'm off to find some kirby grips and buttons with shanks so I can make different kinds of hair buttons - who needs bows?

I wore the multi button one, it is my favourite.

I got some nice comments but I might buy some spray starch. It needs to be just a little bit stiffer!

I shall definitely make more of them at the end of other projects as they are a great way of using scraps!
