I just wanted to show off this mini art quilt I made for the MAQ swap.  I made the quilt round, with plastic brake hose as a frame inside the border.  Every piece of fabric is a fruit or vegetable.  Included are bananas, lemons, chile peppers, raspberries, blueberries, watermelon, carrots, cucumbers and one bitty piece of garden medley.

I love the way swapping encourages me to try new things and push my limits.  This was my first paper piecing.

 

Each Quarter was a different pattern, but I made each one to accept the same center piece to tie them together.

This is amazing!  I couldn't imagine all those little tiny pieces!  I have to admit, when I opened up Craftster to look for something else and there this was I immediately clicked on it!  Great work!

Thanks for all the wonderful complements.  I had a lot of fun making it.  It's one of those projects you would never have done except for a swap, then you want to keep it yourself!
