I need to add a jump ring to the middle back of a flat sterling pendant to turn it into a button.

I know soldering is the best thing to do, but you need a torch for sterling, right? I can not just use a soldering iron? I have the copper and flux for soldering those glass pendant type things, but I am not sure I can use that for this project.

I was also thinking resin. I know it is not nearly as permanent as a solder. But I do not want to buy a lot of new tools or equipment for this project.

Thanks!!

Kristi

You could e600 a flat button to the back.

That was my first thought, but since the pendant is sterling I want the backing to be sterling too.  I can't find any sterling buttons small enough and with a shank to glue onto it.

Ah, yeah. Soldered will look nicer anyway. Smiley
