I bought some Lionbrand Homespun yarn on a whim some months back (er...February) expecting to make a blanket. That didn't happen. It kept unraveling on me and just all out making me OH SO MAD. I grounded the yarn and it stayed in my craft room. And it stayed and stayed and stayed up until recently.
I found a pattern online for a newborn cocoon/egg bowl/etc. It has a lot of names, but the pattern maker used the Lionbrand Homespun. I figured I could give it a shot and get it destashed and then complain to the husband that my yarn stash is depleting and I need more (hehehe). Much to my shock and awe, it actually WORKED! I crocheted with it!

And then..I fell inlove with it. Ugh. I had to have more. It was just so soft and so pretty and...I needed more. So I got more. And I cursed at myself over and over because there was just no way it would work out again.
I ended up finding another pattern, this time for a stork pouch. And, WTF? It worked AGAIN!

And now? Now I need more yarn. I want to make things that work with this yarn and maybe, eventually, I'll get my soft, cozy blanket. *sigh* One can dream, right?

Thanks for letting me share!

What sweet pods. Perhaps now you've got the hang of it, that blanket won't be too far away.
