Yesterday, some pupils passed by on the schoolyard carrying loads of books to the trash. Of course, I stopped them and ended up with loads of books in the art store room. Maybe 50-100, didn't count. I took some home to think of things I could make the students do and after a lot of browsing an pinteresting I ended up with this very girly happy version of a butterfly book. I might do one with bats, just to prove to myself I can do interesting, too.

Watercolored some pages and cut out butterflies, the golden wire was wrapped around yesterdays wine bottle. It was empty by the time the 1017 pages were folded. The students are going to get thinner books, otherwise it's gonna take weeks...

I folded the book to the shape of a butterfly, too.

I sure didn't understand why one would trash Dahl and Rilke. Those ended up in the bookshelf at home.
