I loved Rainbow Brite as a kid so when I saw this pattern I knew exactly what I wanted to do! I had most of the colors on hand so this was a pretty cheap project. Most of the blanket was made while I was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital during my husband's heart procedure. It was a nice distraction and I was able to talk craft with others who were waiting.

I guess I've had rainbows on the brain lately!  Smiley

That is gorgeous!  I love rainbows and bright colours.  I hope the heart procedure went well.

I'm not usually a huge rainbow fan, but this is perfectly used.

And provided some needed brightness in a tense situation.

oooh, nice!!  I like how there aren't holes up the "corners" of this pattern as there are in the other star ones, and I am impressed how you got the edges scalloped evenly all round.  ;-)

Thanks for the link, I will have to give this one a go.

Glad hubby is getting better.  Must be a relief!

I love the colours you chose.  I once started and abandoned a starghan... maybe I will need to try again.

This is beautiful! I have had to wait long hours in hospitals for my mom, and I always craft while I am there too. My craft projects are always good conversation starters. Once I made a sock monkey while I was waiting and then gave it to my mom when she woke up after her surgery. She still has it in her bedroom now.
