Mr Dangly was created as a birthday present for a friend of mine, so I had to give him away as soon as I finished him
. I'm tempted to make another one. I miss him!

You Will Need:
50g King Cole Merino Wool Blend DK in MINK ( 142 )
50g King Cole Merino Wool Blend DK in FAWN ( 8 )
[NOTE: Any ol' DK (sport) yarn will do!]3.25mm straight needles

BODY
Cast on 9 stitches in MINK. Working in stocking stitch:
[K2, inc by knitting twice into next st] to end - 12 st.
Work 1 row.
[K3, inc in next st] to end - 15 st.
Work 3 rows.
[K4, inc in next st] to end - 18 st.
Work 3 rows.
[K5, inc in next st] to end - 21 st.
Work 3 rows.
[K6, inc in next st] to end - 24 st.
Work 3 rows.
[K7, inc in next st] to end - 27 st.
Work 5 rows.
[K8, inc in next st] to end - 30 st.
Work 5 rows.
[K9, inc in next st] to end - 33 st.
Work 5 rows.
[K10, inc in next st] to end - 36 st.
Work 8 rows, ending k row.
[P3, P2tog] repeat three times, P6, [P2tog, P3] repeat three times - 30 st.
Work 1 row.
[P3, P2tog] repeat three times, P3, [P2tog, P3] repeat three times - 24 st.
Work 1 row.
[P2, P2tog] repeat twice, P4, [P2tog, P2] repeat twice - 20 st.
Work 1 row.
[P2, P2tog] repeat twice, P3, [P2tog, P2] repeat twice - 16 st.
Work 1 row.
[P1, P2tog] repeat twice, P4, [P2tog, P1] repeat twice - 12 st.
Work 1 row.
[P1, P2tog] repeat four times - 8 st.
Work 1 row.
P1, P2tog, P2, P2tog, P1 - 6 st.
Work 1 row.
P2tog to end - 3 st.
Cut yarn, leaving enough for seaming, run thread through remaining stitches.
Seam up sides, leaving hole for stuffing.
Stuff, seam up opening.
HEAD
Cast on 5 stitches in FAWN. Working in stocking stitch:
Starting K row, work 1 row.
Work 2 rows , increasing 1 st at each end - 9 st.
Work 3 rows.
Inc 1 st at end of every row until there are 16 st (ending K).
Cut yarn, transfer to stitch holder.
Repeat for 2nd side of face but do not cut yarn, leave stitches on needle.
Next row - P to end, then P stitches from holder onto same needle - 32 st.
Changing to MINK, work 15 rows ending K row.
[P3, P2tog] repeat to end - 26 st.
Work 1 row.
P1 [P2, P2tog] repeat to last st, P1 - 20 st.
Work 1 row.
[P1, P2tog] repeat to last st, P1 - 14 st.
Work 1 row.
P2tog to end - 7 st.
Cut yarn, run thread through remaining stitches.
Seam up sides, leaving a hole for stuffing.
Stuff , seam up opening.
Attach to body (refer to pictures).
ARMS - make 2
Cast on 12 st in MINK.
Working in stocking stitch and beginning K row, work 24 rows ending P row.
Next row: Inc 1 at each end - 14 st.
Work 5 rows ending P row.
Next row; inc 1 in every st - 28 st.
Change to FAWN.
Work 3 rows.
K2tog to end - 14 st.
Work 1 row.
K2tog to end - 7 st.
Work 1 row.
K2tog, K2tog, K1 - 4 st.
Cut yarn, run thread through remaining stitches.
Seam up sides, leaving top end open.
Stuff. Attach to body (refer to pictures as a guide).
LEGS - make 2
Cast on 12 st in MINK.
Working in stocking stitch and beginning K row, work 20 rows ending P row.
Next row: Inc in every st - 24 st.
Change to FAWN.
Work 3 rows.
K2tog, repeat to end - 12 st.
Work 1 row.
K2tog, repeat to end - 6 st.
Work 1 row.
K2tog, repeat to end - 3 st.
Work 1 row.
Cut yarn, run thread through remaining stitches.#
Seam up sides leaving top end open.
Stuff. Attach to body (refer to pictures).
TAIL
Cast on 35 st in MINK.
Working in stocking stitch:
Work 10 rows.
Cast off.
Seam up cast off and cast on edges.
Sew up one end of tail. Do not stuff.

EARS make 2 MINK & 2 FAWN
Cast on 10 st.
Working in stocking stitch:
Work 3 rows.
Dec 1 at end of every row until there are 8 st.
Dec 1 at each end of every row until there are 4 st.
Stitch together in pairs of MINK & FAWN - MINK stocking stitch outwards, FAWN reverse stocking stitch outwards.
Attach to sides of head - refer to picture as a guide.
FINISHING
Sew on buttons for eyes.
To make hair tufts, cut 4 x 10cm strands of MINK yarn.
Holding lengths all together, fold in half to make a loop.
Push crochet hook through a stitch midway between the ears at top of head.
Hook through loop and pull strands through stitch halfway.
Take the ends of the strands and pull them through the loop. Pull tightly to secure tuft.
Repeat with 2 more tufts either side, and one in front. Trim hair to desired length.
