What kind of Challenge themes would you like to see in Toys, Dolls and Playthings?

The first thing that popped into my head was "Simple and Sweet" playthings for the upcoming holidays. A lot of us have young ones on our gift lists that we'd love to craft for and a little inspiration would be great.

Any others?

It's a long story.

Wasn't there one a little while ago (several months at least, I think)? There were lots of fun ideas that didn't get chosen. I'm pretty sure it was this board...

Depending on when this is, perhaps an outdoor theme? Toy versions of things that are outside (birds, cars, campgrounds) doll clothes for camping, the beach, horse riding, etc., or games/supplies to be used outside (a pretty, crafty, non-standard badminton shuttlecock, a revamped croquet set) could be entered. Or maybe a reconstructed theme?

I think some from the poll- if I remember right -were educational (maybe good for a fall/September challenge?), fantasy...drawing a blank now.

I'd like to have another toys challenge! Let me know what you think the theme should be!

Summer theme?
Something nerdy? (Blame this one on Pinkleo and her Nerd Games Craftalong!)

I think a two-for challenge would be fun: boy and girl dolls, or cat and dog, or time lord and TARDIS, or any toy that would have a natural counterpart or companion that can each be played with separately.
Alternatively, a challenge to make the same or similar plaything in two different medium: crochet, sew, woodwork, knit, paper, felted, beaded, etc

ok i only have this idea bc of the recent doll i just made, but what about toys/dolls using tassles? as i often see neat ones i like but wouldn't go with my drapes so they can be repurposed! lol yeah a little into tassles after that last doll i made lol so much fun!
