This is half of a present for a friend of mine who has a birthday in a month (I actually finished a present for someone BEFORE their birthday!).

This friend is severely addicted to the Avengers so I asked her who her favourite character was which is a tie between Loki and Ironman (Loki is the second part of the present). I got the idea of using the quote 'Some people say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how dad did it, that's how America does it' as it ties in all of my own personal thoughts about Tony Stark.

The only stitches used for this were satin stitch and back stitch. The satin stitch is used in many different angles which help to create depth (via the light) to the embroidery without needing to change colour.

Various in progress pictures:

I'm not completely happy with how the hoopless binding (tutorial I used) ended up looking but I'm sure my friend will appreciate it anyway.

Life is an artwork without an eraser.

Wow, that's a stunning piece, well done.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.
