It should probably be narrowed down to one category, but that was my whole thought. It's also late, I think my brain gave up on me.

Cool ideas! I particularly like the song/ music one.  We'd all have to hit up YouTube so we knew what the inspiration was.  We'd learn about all kinds of different music!

summer vacation - make something inspired by something you do on vacation or a place you go.

A lot of those say "Yarn" but I think they would work all across the fiber boards. Like "inspired by music/book/movie..."
I think a "Learn a new technique" challenge would be fun for everyone, whether it's learning a new technique in a an area you are already familiar with, like for me learning something new about spinning, or going to a different board altogether, like me going weaving. That would be fun and encouraging us in our quests to learn everything we can. I mean, come on, I'm not the only one who wants to learn anything I can read about on the internets, am I?
