Journal for a month Round 2 - The gallery of awesome

IsikkahJai has asked me to post pictures of the things I sent to her, since she has received.

I made her a Batbunny, off her Pinterest:


And a small Labyrinth box with Jareth pictures and jewels:


I only have a few picture of the inside of the journal, just my three favourite pages, but on the other pages I used Labyrinth colouring pages from Summerfaire as the borders for my pages. I used an old discarded book from the op shop, and gesso'd over the pages. Some of the old illustrations I kept, and jazzed up with metallic gel pens.

I also sent her some Australian animal stickers, an Australian keychain, and some chibi Snape notecards also based off her Pinterest.

I received from RougeRaven about 2 weeks ago but I'm just now getting around to posting the pics (sorry).  On to the greatness!

This is a group shot of all the goodies.  We are going through adopting our niece so she sent us stickers for scrapbooking and goodies for her.


Close up of the play food she made! Mia went straight away to her kitchen and made the kittens eggs and bacon for breakfast.


Some of the journal pages that were my fave.  How did you bind all them together.  They are all different, I love it.




RougeRaven works at a daycare and one of her littlies made this tree!

I received Milady's package and am so excited to show it to everyone!

This is the journal (sorry it's on its side; for some reason when I try to rotate it the picture gets all weird and stretched):



(Is that the author herself sporting a fashionable raygun...?  Methinks it is!  ) She says the paper on the cover is wallpaper from her new house.

The extras were so awesome and personal. This crochet panel (also on its side):



has the phrase, "Do what makes your heart sing" crocheted into it (and by the way, how in the world did she even DO that?!?!), which is something from the personal messages we exchanged with one another when we first learned we were swap partners. My mother in law keeps stopping in front of it and raving about how happy and beautiful it is, and how talented the craftster must be.

And she also sent these cool crocheted earrings (yes, crocheted EARRINGS!):



It took me a while to decide what clothes to wear today, because I was building my outfit around those fantastic earrings!!!

After I looked at everything, I delved back into the journal, which allowed me to peek into the busy and social world of Milady. I knew I was going to get a kick out of reading it -- we are both in health care and night shift work, and in May she was in the middle of a house purchase, as well as a lot of entertaining social outings. (I'm quite jealous of her active social life!)

Maybe the most fun thing, was the internationality of it all. My son looked at her pictures and said, "Wow! They even LOOK British, don't they?" I don't know how anyone "looks British" ... but I'm thinking she and her friends and family are looking at my pictures saying, "Wow, they even LOOK American, don't they?"    And of course there were the oh-so-cool British words and phrases, too. How fun!  THANK YOU, MILDAY!!!!

P.S.I am loving seeing all the different journals and extras... It's almost like seeing all the different personalities, spread out in front of us! And the intriguing thing is, there is so much more journal content that each recipient is enjoying, that the rest of us cannot even guess! What a great swap!

KUKUKUUUU *giggles* I LOOOVVEEE my Bunnybat!  I'll upload pics of my fave pages when I can get to them without greasy children hands being grabby-grabby. 
  Whenever I geta  package from Silvermoon I ALWAYS feel I haven't put enough into my own package  She's just stellar! And after reading her journal, I feel closer to her in my heart. We're both mothers of multiple children and have partners and we stay at home....it was nice seeing both the joy and frustration I feel shared with someone else. Makes me feel not so alone  <3 you Silvermoon.

Rosie- I am so glad Mia like the food. I saw those painting pages and it reminded me of a Lisa Frank book like that from when I was little so I had to get them for you guys. To make my journal I cut the pages, used my Cinch machine to punch the holes, and then bound them onto the wire with the same machine- I love that thing so much!

Everyone's journals are so pretty (even they do make me feel like mine is totally inadequate ). I'm so excited to see PlumCrafty's journal, tracking says it should be at the PO, but knowing our PO, it'll be a couple of days before they'll get it to me.
