Here's my submission! This challenge comes along right when I'm feeling both creatively blocked AND untalented - so this was a ideal way to get me to JUST. MAKE. SOMETHING. Not to mention decorate that big blank space above the dresser...

(sorry for the low-quality pictures)

Overall view - tree covered in birds, made from an old chemistry book and a lot of glue:


Detail #1 - and my favorite part! I love this bird and his branch confluence. If I'd just made this one part, I'd still like it:


Detail #2 - shows the double layer of book pages I used to give the birds some dimensionality:


Not my favorite piece ever, but it pleases me - and the hubby didn't completely hate it, either... I call that a win!
